![]() They don't have fancy graphics, but they make up for it with a huge plot, cool storyline, deep gameplay, and tons of replay value. The Geneforge games are single-player RPGs of the old school. ![]() The games tell the story of their rebellion against the Shapers, and how it tears the world apart. ![]() The problem is that some of their creations are intelligent, and they do not appreciate being ruled in such an absolute fashion. Terrible things happen to anyone who questions their rule or tries to steal the secrets of their craft. The Shapers rule their world and guard their secrets closely. But, as is the trademark of the Geneforge games, you can switch sides and help the Shapers instead. The player starts out as a rebel, trying to find a way to prevent the approaching disaster. Or, at least, they are supposed to be obedient. These creations are totally obedient and made to serve the Shapers. They tell the story of the Shapers, a massively powerful, secret sect of magicians and warriors who have the magical ability to create and mold new life forms. Jonric: To introduce the Geneforge series, what is it about, and what are the core strengths that differentiate it from other RPG properties?
